Tracy Grammer & Jim Henry at Hawks & Reed

The TRACY GRAMMER & JIM HENRY duo is synonymous with impeccable musicianship, perfect harmonies, a diverse repertoire, and the kind of musical chemistry and humorous banter you’d expect from musicians who have been touring and playing around the world together for almost 20 years. A typical show includes a stage full of instruments (acoustic/electric guitars, violin, mandolin, Dobro) and a set list full of original songs, instrumentals, creatively reimagined covers, and highlights from Dave Carter’s award-winning catalog. Both reside in the Pioneer Valley — Henry lives in Shutesbury, where he also operates Rubytone Studios, and Grammer resides in Greenfield with her cat, Pickles. ABOUT TRACY GRAMMER: Called “one of the finest pure musicians in folkdom” by the Boston Globe, Tracy Grammer is a writer, actor, musician and singer known in folk circles for her soothing vocals, spirited fiddle, entertaining stories, and punchy, intricate guitar work. A one-time member of Joan Baez’s band, she has traveled throughout North America, Europe, and Japan playing her own songs and those of her favorite writers, while also paying tribute to beloved songwriter Dave Carter, with whom she performed and recorded from 1996 until his sudden death in 2002. A sought-after creativity coach, Grammer is on tour with her latest recording, LOW TIDE, which was folk radio’s ninth most played album in 2018. She lives in Greenfield, Mass.

ABOUT JIM HENRY: Jim Henry is an accomplished singer, songwriter, producer, and one of folk and Americana’s go-to multi-instrumentalists, just off the road from a three-year stint with Grammy-winner Mary Chapin Carpenter. Henry’s arsenal includes acoustic/electric guitars, Dobro, and mandolin and his trademark ambient textures and sparkling solos can be heard on literally hundreds of songwriter albums. He is the host of the podcast, “Fifty Pro-Tips for Musicians” and authored a book of the same name. He lives in Shutesbury, Mass.
