Oakland Stroke at Hawks & Reed

The Valley Band Oakland Stroke featuring Donna Lee and the Bump City Horns will be appearing at Hawkes and Reed on Thursday February 2, 2023. Formed in 2014 at the former Arts Block in Greenfield this 13 piece band returns to the venue after several years. With singing horns, percussion, and the sweet soul vocals of Valley favorite Donna Lee, Oakland Stroke has captured the early 70s funky Latin/Rock sounds of the San Francisco Bay area. Conceived as a Tower of Power Tribute, the band also features tunes from other Bay Area bands: Santana, Buddy Miles, Boz Scaggs, Janis Joplin, and Sly Stone.
