Mother’s Day Zydeco Dance with Zydegroove!

Dance lesson starts at 2:00pm
Music starts at 2:30pm

ZydeGroove moves dancers of all ages out onto the dance floor. Laren Droll, the band leader on accordion, backed by drums, bass, guitar, scrubboard, and fiddle, plays Creole Country Zydeco as danced in the church halls, clubs and house parties of Louisiana. Their dance sound is a blend of Cajun, Rhythm & Blues, Country and Swing straight out of Louisiana’s Cajun and Creole homelands.

Dance instructor Alice Kenny will bring Louisiana dance style into focus. Alice has danced and instructed Cajun and Zydeco dance everywhere – Lincoln Center, Dance Flurry, and throughout New England and the Pioneer Valley. Alice teaches zydeco in a simple and engaging way that will quickly put you at ease on the dance floor.
