Funk Dance Night with Oakland Stroke

The Valley band Oakland Stroke featuring Donna Lee and the Bump City Horns will be appearing at Hawks and Reed on Thursday April 6th, 2023.

Formed in 2014 at the former Arts Block in Greenfield this 13 piece band returns for Funk Dance Night. With singing horns, percussion, and the sweet soul vocals of Valley favorite Donna Lee, Oakland Stroke has captured the early 70s funky Latin/Rock sounds of the San Francisco Bay area. Conceived as a Tower of Power Tribute, the band also features tunes from other Bay Area bands: Santana, Buddy Miles, Boz Scaggs, Janis Joplin, and Sly Stone.
